On September 18, 19 and 20 the SLSC will have a booth at the 2009 Martin County Nautical Flea Market & Sea Food Festival at the Martin County Fair Grounds

We need volunteers to man the booth and have a great time meeting sailors and checking out all of the treasures. Join us for a FUN afternoon.

THIS IS A GREAT WAY FOR NEW MEMBERS AND LONG TIME MEMBERS TO GET ACQUAINTED, AND FORM NEW FRIENDSHIPS

It would be good if you would commit to a two hour slot, more if you wish. Admission tickets will be provided for the volunteers.            Richard Laub is the coordinator, cell 954 465 6688.

SLSC will hold it's "Intro to Sailing Course" starting October 22.  This course consists of six weeks of classroom introductory work followed by a "practical sailing experience."  There is no charge for the course though the book costs $25.  Contact Paul Loschiavo (561 575 7882 or losch@comcast.net) for details.

Our Nominating Committee is seeking hard charging sailors looking to get involved in the running of the club.  No experience necessary though enthusiam is a must.  If you are interested in serving as any of the officers, directors, or committee chair persons, contact Paul Loschiavo (561 575 7882 or losch@comcast.net) for details.
